Quadfest
Minutes from the 2/15/96 meeting
Members Present:

Time?
The committee discussed possible times to hold Quadfest. Quadfest will
go from 1pm - 5pm, and Indifest could continue on into the night.

Food
The committee has decided to have DAKA provide the food. Students on the
meal plan will eat at DAKA's expense (running the CBORD out, scanning
cards). Non-meal plan people will get tickets the day of Quadfest and we'll
pay for 'em. We discussed the problems with students going up for
seconds. An idea came up to hand out re-fill tickets, which would allow
students to go back for more food. (We will talk to DAKA about this)
Night-Time Activities
The following ideas were raised for possible night-time activities. Not
having a night-time program didn't go over well with the committee and we
are currently exploring some of the possibilities below.

Lazer Tag!
Air Twister
Lego Building Contest
Geo(R)-cutting
Milton-Bradley games
Scavenger Hunt
Theme
Well, we spent the previous meeting discussing things that came in 4's.
Unfortunately, our overly-competent tri-chair lost the list of
ideas. So, we came up with more theme ideas. One terrific idea
that came up was a fortune theme. Get it?
Four and tune... Four for Quadfest 4. Tune for
Indifest. :)
Going with the fortune idea, we would have a fortune
teller, fortune cookies (with subliminal quadfest
messages inside), palm readers, and fortunes (treasure chests for the
scavenger hunt!). Also along these lines is Quadfest IV: Find your
Fortune. Another catch slogan thing was: Just Four the
Fun of It.
The Logo
Uh... Hmmm... Since I can't draw, I can't show you anything.
Other Stuff
The committee (except for Amy) unanimously decided that Amy should be in
the dunk tank. If we can get Residential Services to sponsor a dunk
tank, then we will have a dunk tank at Quadfest! WooHoo! The committee
came up with a list of people they would like to see in the dunk tank.
They are as follows:
Amy Plack, Andrea Dorow, Frat-Presidents, IFC-Panhel people, Campus
Police, Plant Services, SGA people, President Parrish, The Provost,
SocComm People (execpt the Films Chair), Wedge Rats, DAKA Bob, DAKA Joe,
Residential Services people, Frat People, Lens and Lights people (except
the Head Projectionist), and THAT ANNOYING BLOOD LADY.
We also discussed t-shirts. We talked about giving away t-shirts at the
twin peaks climbing wall thing. The other t-shirts we would
sell to help balance most of the cost to us.
