IndieFest
Lens and Lights (ok, Steve...) has brought some ideas to the committee.
In a nutshell, they include having 2 stages for Indiefest (to cut the
time between acts to next to nothing - fit in more bands), and some great
sound setups. We would also use the same stage (with lights) for the
Gong Show/Comedian/other night activities.
More Daytime Stuff
Concerns were brought to the attention of the committee that there were
not enough novelty games taking place all day long. Some of the
ideas mentioned include:
- A spray chalk graphiti contest (on sheets or parking spaces)
- Balloon Toss (water?)
- Volleyball (at night?)
- Egg Toss
- Catapult contest
As far as the pie eating contest goes, as long as there is a set plan for
cleanup, it will be taking place.
Scavenger Hunt
Ideas were drafted up by the enthusiastic persons at the meeting this
afternoon. The scavenger hunt crew will be thinking of questions for the
hunt during the coming week and will hold their first meeting right
before ours at 4pm next Thursday. (I'm waiting on the location)
What Else?
Is the pshycic too expensive? That is the question we asked last time,
and YES, she is. Sorry, no pshycic this year! The
committee voted (18-0-2) to co-sponsor with Lens and
Lights the showing of Aladdin (in Perreault Hall) the night before
Quadfest. Oh, and I will be making some budget/spending/cost sheets as
well as a list of ideas we've had so far (and maybe even a tentative
schedule) for the next meeting.
