Minutes from the 3/21/96 meeting

Members Present:

Food

Close Morgan for Quadfest, leave Founders open for people not wanting to eat on the quad.
Meal plan people will "pay for themselves"
DAKA will charge Quadfest a flat $1500 to cover the cost of off-campus/non-meal plan people
Serve Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Veggie-tarian-stuff
Non-meal plan people will get bracelets to allow for seconds, etc.
Amy will call DAKA to get the final word... again.

Novelty-Type Stuff

The contracts for the novelty stuff are almost all set... We will be getting 1 big tent, instead of 1 big tent and 1 smaller tent. Amy is trying to get Arizona Iced Tea and/or Friendly's Ice Cream.

IndieFest

We are going with the dual stage setup to allow for more music in less time. IndieFest will probably be going from 11am - 8pm.

Miscellaneous Stuff

SAS will hopefully find enough money for their pie eating contest. Lens and Lights surprised us by asking for some money due to wear and tear on their equipment (from the equipment being outside, etc). The committee voted to allocate the funds necessary to fufill LnL's request. Pre-Med also requested a small amount of money if they cannot allocate the necessary funds for their event. Peer Education wants to do something with condoms. Specifically, a condom toss or something like that. The fencing club would also like to do a demonstration. However, there's one catch! They need a brick walkway (hey! What do ya know, there's a couple of those on the quad!), not pavement. Oh, and Nate says that the stage "can fit a lot of people." So, the gong show should have no trouble fitting on it.
